9. THE EFFECT OF THE HOLY PROPHET

(Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) MIRACLES

During a journey, the Sahaba came to the Beloved Habbeb (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) complaining of sever thirst. He sent two persons in search of water. They met a lady on a camel with two water bags full of water. The two messengers brought the lady to Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam). He asked his companions to bring a vessel and pour some water from both the water bags into it.

Then he sealed the mouths of the water bags and asked his companions to drink the water from the bags. The companions quenched their thirst but the water level in the bags remained intact.

The lady saw this miracle, returned to her clan and narrated it to them by saying: “By God, this man is a wonder between heaven and earth. He is a true Messenger of God.” 1

The Beloved Habbeb (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam) entered Madinatul Munawwara after migrating from Makkatul Mukarrama.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salaam called on him and asked him some questions about unseen things. The Beloved Habbeb (Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam), through the Allah-given Ilm-e-Ghayb answered each and every question. Abdullah bin Salaam accepted his Prophethood and embraced Islam. 2
