Arabic words

O Allah (The Exalted) bless the One for whom a palm trunk wept and sighed at its separation from him.

‘Zenith’ (point of the heavens directly above the observer) comes from the Arabic ‘Cenit’ & the word ‘Nadir’ (the lowest point) comes from the Arabic ‘Nadir!’ High or low, Arabic started it all!”

The word ‘Algebra’ comes from the Arabic ‘al-Jabr’ & the word ‘Algorithm’ comes from the name of the Arab scholars who founded algebra & the concept of algorithums in mathematics, ‘Al-Khawarizi’. ‘X’ always marked the spot for Muslims!”

The word ‘Atlas’ comes from the Arabic ‘Atlas’ & the word ‘Zircon’ comes from the Arabic ‘Azraq’. Around the world, the gems of the Arabic language make other languages sparkle!”

The word ‘Cotton’ comes from the Arabic word ‘Qutun’ & the word ‘Muslin’ comes from the word ‘Muslim!’ when it comes to clothing, we’re covered!”

The word ‘Cipher’ (meaning nil, Zero) comes from the Arabic ‘Sifr’ & the word ‘Alcove’ (meaning trellis, retreat, hideaway) comes from the Arabic ‘Al-Qubba’. The Muslims have nothing to hide and have always shared their knowledge!”

The word ‘Musk’ comes from the Arabic ‘Musk’ & the word ‘Amber’ comes from ‘Anbar’. The Arabic language always shares its fragrance & colour!”

This is the language of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) such beauty and such powerful words. However, when it comes form the news on the BBC we will not question it and when the Qur’an & Hadith have mentioned many things yet we do not take it seriously.
